Hello, you have arrived!

Rori has a deep belief and desire to connect with others in their healing process. Inviting another into your personal thoughts, feelings and hurts requires a profound level of trust and vulnerability. Whether we meet as counselor and client or yoga instructor and student, Rori will strive to create a foundation of understanding and compassion while inquiring of your potential for new discovery.

Her work has evolved over the decades of joining with individuals in a variety of settings. As a younger therapist she adhered strongly to behavioral and cognitive approaches, working closely with individuals experiencing addiction and co-occurring disorders. Her approach has grown to become considerably more inclusive and incorporate more of the body’s felt experience.  As the field of Psychology gathered more data, we began to better understand how the body held and stored our anxiety, depression, and distress (our trauma).

Rori expanded her skills to begin offering body healing in conjunction with talk therapy. She also shares her personal love of the outdoors and offers ‘Walk and Talk’ sessions. While many are comfortable sitting for a conventional therapy session, some individuals discover a sense of ease in walking and talking.

She completed her Yoga training certification at Kripalu Yoga and Health Center in 2019. She teaches Gentle yoga classes, Chair yoga, and Breath/Pranayama classes to help manage the physical stress that occurs in the human body.

Rori completed her Master’s Degree in Psychology and Counseling at Goddard College in 2003, and has maintained a private practice since.
