In our time digital technology has evolved exponentially—you can meet with Rori in the ease of your home or wherever you may feel comfortable. The majority of her sessions are held via Zoom. Should walking provide a therapeutic outlet for you, please take advantage of the ‘walk and talk’ session. Rori is currently working with most insurance providers.

Walk and Talk
We have come to understand that for many people, movement helps their mind and body work in unison to better communicate. Adding the chirps of birds, wind in the leaves, fluttering of butterflies and seasonal fragrances of rain, snow, flowers can further enhance the outdoor counseling experience. There is considerable data showing that engaging in nature improves our mental health. Amos Clifford's book Forest Bathing tells us of the physical and well being benefits. He identifies the “boosts to the immune system and an increased sense of relaxation and mental clarity.”

Gentle Yoga
Return to your body and spirit in this gentle yoga class. Yoga has been proven to benefit our mental health by reducing anxiety, improving the management of depression. It is also known to reduce symptoms of traumatic stress disorder. Yoga has been shown to strengthen overall psychological well-being, help people develop a mindful outlook and a sense of inner strength and confidence. Modifications will be offered and encouraged to invite all bodies to participate as fully as possible. All classes will be recorded, allowing you the flexibility to view when your schedule.

Chair Yoga
Wonderful opportunity for individuals seeking gentle movements and who may also wish to be seated. Class participants remain seated for the duration inviting movement into all joints and limbs. Modifications are offered throughout to accommodate injuries or areas of pain/discomfort. This will be a recorded class allowing you the flexibility to view when it suits your schedule.

Pranayama
Breath: pranayama, prana defined as ‘air or life force and yama to restrain or hold back. Participating in pranayama practice can enhance your breath experience and promote the relaxation response through activation of the parasympathetic nervous system.
The class is appropriate for all levels and abilities, individuals will be given options for sitting or standing.
